I’ve had a lot on my mind lately.
And by “lately” I mean, for a few months.
This is one reason why I may have seemed M.I.A. “in real life” to some people. That may or may not change in the future — I don’t know yet.
Recently I wrote about how I needed to change direction with this blog because I was getting bored with social media type stuff. That boredom has not been constrained to this blog; it has bled over into real life. I appreciate all your comments on that post, but I think I need to take my friend Robin’s advice and “Take a sabbatical for a time and just BE.”
I’m not sure if I’m ready to divulge all the details of what’s been going on in that gray matter underneath my mop of red hair just yet. I’ve got some soul-searching to do, some figuring-stuff-out to do, and it’s best I keep that offline.
I also realize the irony of posting for the first time in almost two weeks just to inform my readers that I won’t be posting for a while. I know I haven’t been very prolific on this domain for quite some time, but consider this the official “I’m going on hiatus for a while” post, anyway.
I’ll be back, though I don’t know when, and I’ll still tweet, but it won’t be as often as it was. I just need time to think more.

Blown Away by Carrie Underwood

Been there, done that.. Sometimes its best just to do it for fun instead of the obligation too.
Hope you do come back to it refreshed though. Enjoy reading you

Things change. People change.
What is, IS. What ISN’T, isn’t.
Enjoy!
Suggestion, try something creative that has absolutely nothing to do with the Web 2.0/PR career part of your life. I got into photography when my parents gave me a really good camera ten years ago when I was married to my loyalty marketing career with the subtle hint I needed a hobby/artistic outlet.
I am as passionate about my fine art photography as I am with my PR/Marketing career and it’s a great way to break away from the computer. Not that I am suggesting photography is what’s going to break you out of your funk find something that fits you.
Thanks, Bill, I’ve been thinking about that very thing — finding a hobby other than the PR/Web 2.0 part of my life. My problem is (and I know this is going to sound ridiculous) that I really am not interested in very much. Live music is a big part of my life that I’ve been getting more in touch with lately, and I may be doing more as far as that goes here. Not sure yet. Obviously, I have posted since this “Officially going on hiatus” post — a couple things that were more introspective and observational, but they’re super long and I’m not sure I can keep with that kind of pace. We’ll see what happens, and my life will be shifting in upcoming weeks somewhat so maybe I’ll get more blog fodder/inspiration from what is to come.
Thanks for stopping by!
